1) What is your favorite part about twirling?

2) If you could change one thing about the sport what would it be? 3) What has been your favorite twirling memory?

4) What is your favorite/best tip to success?

5) If you could say anything to your younger self what would it be?

Her answers:

1)I love the uniqueness of the sport and its nature of people who are a part of it. I feel like the majority of people in baton twirling are very friendly and although it is a competition we are willing to help one another through it all.

2) That's a tough one, I remember practicing this question for modeling interview, and I can honestly say I don't have an answer for you. There have been many things I've contemplated could be improved, but I have yet to conclude how.

3) So many! My favorite memory as a young trailer was when my entire baton team, Fantasia, went to Harry Brown's camp in Ohio. At the time I was probably 9/10 years old. One night we decided that Burger King would be dinner instead of the camp meal. We got to Burger King the building was closed but the drive-through was open. So, my teammate Elizabeth convinced them to let us walk through the drive-thru although we had no car.

4) Practice till you do it right. If you can throw a double, but it's from the end of your baton and your knees are bent, you can't do a double. It's the detail that makes a difference and sometimes it can come down to who has the least amount of penalties.

5) Acknowledge your fear, except it, and then tell it to take a back seat. We all have fear it's how you managed it that makes all the difference. Trust yourself and the work that you put in.
